I’m kind of in love with the first photo in this blog. This was one of the coolest weddings I’ve ever photographed because I got to ride on a boat!
Marisa & Justin live in Pennsylvania but were married in Colonial Beach, Virginia. Marisa’s family owns a summer home in Colonial Beach that has been in their family for generations. How cool is that? In the late 1800′s many people in the DC area built homes in Colonial Beach. There used to be a ferry that came down from DC on the Potomac to Colonial Beach. Even Alexander Graham Bell owned a house in Colonial Beach that now serves as a Bed and Breakfast.
Their wedding also reminded me a lot of my own wedding. It was small and intimate, just like my own, with only 20 guests. They held their ceremony at Stanford’s Marine and their reception at the Riverboat on the Potomac. Their ceremony was filled with tears of joy, a dove and even a couple of swans. Their reception was filled with fruity cocktails and dancing! Marisa & Justin, thank you so much for having me as your photographer!!!
